Flat Belly

Hi Guys,

It’s been a while since I posted a blog, but here is a new post called ; ‘Flat Belly’
I get a lot of questions what to eat if you want a flat belly. Well, I do have a flat belly, but i still have a little bit of fat in my lower belly area, which is the most difficult part to get rid of it. I’m not where I want to be and I don’t have visible abs (yet ^^). I am still in progress!

Getting a flat belly is 80% clean eating and 20% workout. With only working out you can’t really get there. Eating clean is very important. It’s okay to eat some ‘bad’ things once in a while. Just plan a cheating day once a week. If you do that it’s a lot easier to eat clean the rest of the week. If your goal is to loose fat, you need to do cardio and eat clean, don’t eat less, just eat clean. If you want to gain muscle, you have to workout at the gym and also eat clean. But you need to eat a bit more because your muscles need the nutrition.

I always eat clean, and when I have a cheat day, it’s actually always clean, but I just eat a lot then. Like lots of dried fruits or quark. I love that. Of course I love chocolate too, but I don’t eat it that much. Only in protein bars. Like i said, if you don’t want to cut off all your cheat meals, you can plan a cheat day one a week! No problem with that. Of course there are also some nice and delicious healthy recipes (you can find some on my blog).

Before I started to workout, I always did a lot of Cardio. I ate clean and took long walks or long bike trips. This helped me a lot. With only this change I lost 15 kg in 6 months. Eating 6 times a day is also very important! That keeps your metabolism high. Eat something every 2,5 hours. Take some fruits or veggies as a snack. Some quark with oats or a protein bar! Don’t starve yourself! If you are hungry, you should eat! There is not really something special you should eat. It really is important to eat a lot of fruits, veggies and whole grain products.

Now I do more strength in the gym then Cardio. I workout 4-5 times a week and next to that i do baton twirling. I love to push my limits and add weights. By doing this you gain more muscle, which will burn more calories eventually. To loose fat on your belly you should do exercises for your whole body, not only your abs. Ab workouts work really good next to clean eating. But exercises like squats help even better. After my strength workout I always do 20 minutes HIIT. HIIT stands for High Intensity Interval Training. This gives your fat burning an extra boost.

So, Some key words: Clean Eating + Workout + Cardio. This is what helped the best for me! I don’t have my dream belly, but I am working out a lot and already pushing my limits! So i am sure i will get there!
